Leading change! Choose an organization that you are familiar with and respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

1. What are the requisite skills a person needs to lead change at the organization you chose? Consider Collins’ emphasis on the importance of engaging with frontline employees to understand what drives results. How do these skills contribute to effective change management?

How does your chosen organization’s structure accommodate change? Consider how cross-departmental collaboration, as highlighted by Collins, can facilitate or hinder the change process.

Based on Mellor’s insights about leveraging ideas from all levels of an organization and the importance of leaning in to fill gaps, how can leaders effectively drive change by fostering an innovative culture?

What from the video resonated with you about the relationship between innovation, employee engagement, and successful change management?

2. Choose an organization that you are familiar with and respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:

What specific risks and biases are present in your chosen organization? How might these factors influence the perception of change initiatives? Consider Collins’ comments about the importance of spending time with employees at the frontline to understand their perspectives and how that may highlight risks in the change process.

How do the risks and biases you identified influence the analysis process within the organization? How might biases prevent valuable insights from being recognized, given Mellor’s assertion that great ideas can come from anywhere?
