Week 5 Assignment: Major Project (Group)
PROJECT PAPERS require that students as a Team to think
outside the box (textbook).
OVERVIEW:
The Team is to write a
research paper in accordance with APA standards
citing a
minimum of eight (8) scholarly peer reviewed sources and a minimum three (3) entire scripture verses.
The Major Group Project assignment constitutes 12% of your grade.
All work you submit for this class should be written in clear prose, meaning that your comments should be comprised in complete, lucid sentences using proper syntax, spelling, and grammar. If you do not take your work seriously, then neither will others. All facts, numbers, statistics, etc. must be cited, as well as any idea that did not originate with you. Using the work of other writers without proper attribution is considered plagiarism, and will result in disciplinary action.
The members of Groups were pre-determined at the start of the class. Within your team the Professor selected one or more member(s) to be the Leader(s) of your Team. Thereafter, the project starts out by having students structure their own team and coming to a consensus as to whom will handle a certain facet of the Project.
Please note that there is one grade for each Team Project paper. More importantly, the grade posted for each member of the respective group is based upon the
Team grade and the individual student’s participation on the Project. Too often in Group projects, you have only a few who do most of the Work.
Each Group Team member will post an Evaluation Report detailing the efforts or lack thereof for each member. See Assignment: Groupwork Peer Evaluation.
During this age of isolationism, it has become increasingly apparent that a few wish to go it alone and not to interact with others. Social skills need to be honed in order to survive the real world of Business. Some of the best outcomes in the corporate and business environments are developed by teams/boards/panels/task force, etc. Remember, in the counsel of many, there is wisdom; and not only wisdom but making what may seem a daunting task and turning it into an enjoyable experience. In order to prepare for this experience, you will be partaking in Group Projects in this course.
“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety” (Prov. 11 14, KJV).
INSTRUCTIONS:
This project requires the Team to apply the concepts and methods learned so far in the course. Due to the demands of this Project, it behooves us to follow Bible wisdom.
The Team paper submission should follow the below stated composition and formatting guidelines; and be composed unto a “Word Document.”
• Title page with a “Running head:” page number (top right), your name, course, date, and an appropriate title.
• Use double space, Arial, and 12pt font.
• Provide a short introduction stating your position.
• Support your position.
• When all is done, give a brief conclusion.
• Upon citing works, add a separate reference page.
