The exams are divided into 3 UNITS. Each exam will cover a unit. For example, UNIT 1 covers Chapters 1-5. Each exam will have critical thinking essay questions. Each question requires a minimum 100-word response. Answer all questions. For example, if QUESTION 1 has three questions. That’s a total of 300 words. I’ve attached a word document where the questions for the Exam are posted. Submit your file when completed

1.Explain the business culture of the 1920’s. Who supported restricting immigration 1to the US in the 1920’s and why? In what ways did the ideas about the proper roles for women change in the 1920’s? Identify the causes of the Great Depression. Make as many connections to today.

2.Which political party took over US government after President Hoover’s defeat and why? What were the major initiatives of the First New Deal, and how did they differ from the Second New Deal? Explain how New Deal benefits applied to women and minorities? Make as many connections to today.

3.Why did the US enter World War II? How did American minorities face threats to their freedom at home during World War II? Explain two consequences of WWII at home and around the world. (Think about two major world powers and the expansion of Democracy and Civil Rights.) Make as many connections to today.

4.What prompted the Cold War? What effects did the anticommunism of the Cold War have on American politics and culture? What effect did it have on civil rights in America? Provide two successful civil rights movements in the 1950’s. Make as many connections to today.
