1. Research Component:
- Analyze Saudi Arabia’s comparative advantages in sectors like oil production, petrochemicals, emerging tourism, and renewable energy industries.
- Investigate how global shifts (e.g., technological advancements and climate change policies) challenge these advantages.
2. Critical Analysis Questions:
- How has Saudi Arabia’s reliance on oil shaped its comparative advantage historically?
- What are the risks associated with over-dependence on one sector for comparative advantage?
- Discuss potential strategies Saudi Arabia could adopt to diversify its economy while maintaining global trade competitiveness.
