It is important to identify internal and external stakeholders for your sustainability initiative. It is through identification of and communication with these stakeholders that you will understand what partnerships might benefit the initiative. These can include community leaders, organizations, and even patients, their families, and friends.

You have been tasked with creating a plan for a sustainability initiative within your organization. This presentation should outline your plan to engage stakeholders, involve patients and their families, and promote the initiative through various media channels.

Assessment Deliverable

Create a 7- to 12-slide Microsoft PowerPoint presentation that provides a clear, structured overview of your stakeholder engagement plan, engagement strategy, and promotional approach. Use the speaker notes section on each slide to add supporting information as needed. Use the following format for your presentation:

  • Title Slide
  • List the presentation title, the name of your sustainability initiative, your name, date, and organization (if relevant).
  • Identify Key Stakeholders
  • List essential stakeholders (internal and external) who are critical to the success of your initiative.
  • Briefly explain why each stakeholder is important.
  • Partnerships and Community Collaboration
  • Identify potential partnerships with other organizations and influential community leaders who can support your initiative.
  • Explain why these partnerships and leaders add value to your initiative’s success.
  • Promotional Media Strategy
  • Outline your promotional strategy for reaching your identified stakeholders.
  • Include the different media channels (e.g., social media, online ads) you will use to promote the initiative.
  • Online Ad Script
  • One slide of content
  • Write a script for a 30-60 second online ad to promote the initiative.
  • Script content:
  • Start with a catchy opening to grab attention (e.g., a question or a surprising fact related to your initiative).
  • Describe the problem your initiative addresses and briefly introduce your solution.
  • Highlight key benefits of the initiative (for patients, the environment, or the community).
  • End with a call to action, inviting viewers to get involved or learn more.
  • Social Media Posts
  • Create four sample social media posts designed to encourage stakeholder involvement in your initiative.
  • For each post, briefly explain its purpose and how it will engage the stakeholders.
  • Aim for 50-100 words for each and include visuals as necessary.
  • References
  • Cite your sources according to APA guidelines.
