Your task here is to have a little fun (I hope). Look at the examples given below for ways that Hamlet has been adapted to popular culture songs.
Be sure to cover the following requirements:
·
Write your own version of a song about Hamlet (the play, themes, characters, and their relationships) and fit those lyrics to a popular song.

·
Provide me with a link to a YouTube video of the song beneath your lyrics so that I can read your lyrics with the song’s music and put them together in my head.

·
            Include a
1-2 paragraph creative note about why you selected that song (mood, tone, rhythm, and how those elements impact the parody.  *Provide examples*) and which elements from Hamlet you are encapsulating (the whole play? a particular scene?) and why you chose that element.

·
If you are particularly brave and talented, you can record your lyrics with the music. (Perhaps find a karaoke version of the song and sing along.) This step is not a requirement.
