 Leadership Virtue Collage

The purpose of this assignment is to help you explore and visually represent the four cardinal virtues—prudence, justice, temperance, and courage—and reflect on how these virtues come together to form an ethical leader. You will create a visual collage that represents each of the virtues with images and then write a detailed summary explaining your choices and reflecting on how these virtues influence ethical leadership and decision-making.

  1. Choose Your Medium:
    1. You can create your collage digitally (using tools like Canva, PowerPoint, or Google Slides) or physically (on poster board, paper, or a corkboard).
    2. Your collage must contain four distinct images—one for each virtue. The images should represent the virtue in a meaningful way.
  2. Selecting the Images:
    1. Prudence (Wise Decision-Making): Find an image that represents thoughtful decision-making, careful planning, or discernment. This could be an image of someone considering a choice, a symbol of balance (like scales), or a situation that reflects wise judgment.
    2. Justice (Fairness and Equity): Choose an image that conveys fairness, equality, or justice. This could be an image of scales, a person standing up for others, or an illustration of fairness in a leadership scenario.
    3. Temperance (Self-Control and Moderation): Select an image that reflects self-control, balance, or moderation. It could be an image of someone showing restraint or managing emotions in a difficult situation.
    4. Courage (Strength and Perseverance): Pick an image that symbolizes bravery, resilience, or the willingness to face challenges. This might be an image of someone standing strong in adversity or taking a bold step toward something important.
  3. Collage Layout:
    1. Arrange the images in a clean, organized layout. If digital, you can use grids or circles for a balanced design. If physical, you can use glue or pins to position the images.
    2. Make sure to label each image with the corresponding virtue (prudence, justice, temperance, courage).
  4. Reflection Summary: After completing your collage, write a detailed summary (1-2 pages) that includes the following:
    1. Explanation of Image Choices: For each image, explain why you chose that specific picture to represent the virtue. What aspects of the image connect to the virtue? How does it reflect the essence of that virtue in leadership?
    2. Virtues Coming Together: Reflect on how these four virtues work together to form a strong ethical leader. How do they complement each other? Why is it important for leaders to embody all four virtues?
    3. Influence on Decision-Making: Discuss how these virtues influence the way leaders make decisions and lead others. How might a leader who consistently applies prudence, justice, temperance, and courage behave in a leadership situation? What impact do these virtues have on their effectiveness and trustworthiness as a leader?

Submission Instructions:

  • Digital Collage: Submit the digital file (PDF, image, or link to the Canva/Google Slides file) of your collage.
  • Physical Collage: Take clear photos of your physical collage and submit them in a single file (PDF or image). ( I CAN TAKE PHYSICAL IMAGES OF MY COLLEGE)
  • Reflection Summary: Include your 1-2 page summary with explanations and reflections on the virtues and their influence on leadership.
