This is a very important research because it is one of the biggest bebates in the justice system because it looks at whether or not the death penalty is needed in today’s world, if it is effective or if it is fair to people. This topice does matter because it connects to issues like getting equality, justice and gettings your rights as humans. A lot of us people still do believe that being executed has stop crime and bring justice to the victims but others argue that it causes more harm than good because it contributes to the community not being any safer. After studying these evidence, this research as help us to have a better understanding if capital punishment does serve a purpose or other options like without parole will be far more effective. There is a clear gap in this research about this topic. Most of the study focus on if the death penalty does prevent someone from being murdered but not the problem that it comes with after. One example, research does not really explain how wrongful convictions, racial bias and economic inequality affect who ends up on the death row. A lot of studies looked at only one state using old data, which means that we don’t always get a full picture of what is really happening today. This research helps in filling the gap because it bring what we know about fairness social inequality and ethics in the death penalty cases.
I looked into different studies and data about the death penalty in this research, like its impact on crime, wrongfully convicted individuals, race and class issues, and moral arguments. The study’s expected outcomes are that the death penalty has little impact on reducing crime. It is also expected that money and racial prejudices will still influence who receives a death sentence. The fact that there is an actual possibility of executing innocent people due to errors in the legal system is another expected result. This study also says that life with no parole is safer option since it protects the public and not risking the death of someone that is innocent, more of these states has been moving away from executions as the public has shift there opinion to other punishments. For this research, one limitation is that it will rely on information from other studies rather than on getting new data. This means that I can only use what is already available and some of these information can be out of date or is limited in some of the area. Another limitation is the study does not have interviewa or have firsyhand experience, this can add a personal insight to how people may fee about the death penalthy and the justice system overall. The views people have on death penalty have change in the younger generation mostly would really be beneficial for doing research in the future. The impact of your class, your race can defend you in being sentence in the society today should be looked into by researchers. In relation to executions, future research might look at the effects of life without parole on criminals and prison systems. Lastly, studies needs to consider how legal and policy changes can improve the justice system’s fairness and kindness for all.
