 What are some examples of the relationship between music and identity in American popular music?

This post is worth 25 points (4 criteria within the Assignment’s Rubric).  Your original answer to the prompt must be a minimum of 200 words. You must respond to at least two of your classmates.  Each response should be a minimum of 75 words each.  Your initial post is worth 10 points out of 25.  The two responses to two class peers/colleagues are worth 5 points each. Language stylistics plus following the format and instructions of the assignment: 5 points. 
Total: 350 words.

Your answer should be organized within a coherent paragraph. As you work it through you make look/use your notes for each genre that has been identified in this movie. In your answers use the appropriate terminology, identify people, historical events and point to the musical examples
