Module Four Overview
In week four, we will explore education in nursing. Nursing education has multiple facets, the DNP as a learner and the DNP as an educator.
The DNP degree provides graduates with the knowledge to improve nursing practice and healthcare outcomes. It also provides the opportunity to meet the competencies of advanced leadership skills, the tools necessary for being an educator! So, consider, what is your role as a nurse educator.
How will you use your DNP degree in educating the population?
The DNP prepares nurses with advanced skills and specialized knowledge in an identified area of interest to translate into practice to improve health outcomes.
Education is part of every nurse’s role, educating patients, families, colleagues, stakeholders, and students. This week, we will focus on educating our stakeholders and patients/participants.
