Topic:  The Impact of the Digital Divide on Health Communication: Strategies for PR Practitioners 

The purpose of your final paper is for you to gain in-depth understanding of the literature on a topic that interests you and to provide insights to others in your profession.  Your final product will be a 10- to 16-page research brief on your topic.  In order to get you to start thinking about your paper and to sift through the literature on your topic, you will create an outline of your final paper, showing how you will use the nine to 12 research articles.  Your outline should include 15 full sentences that provide the main idea for each section of your paper.  

Please see the specifics below.  Do not forget to attach an APA style title page and reference list. For grading details, please see the grading rubric. This assignment is worth 30 points.

I. Introduction:  Write one sentence stating what makes the topic worth researching and of interest to readers.  This constitutes an 
argument for why the topic is important.

II. Body: Write one sentence that previews what you know about your topic based on the literature.  This constitutes an 
argument about what the literature tells us.
