Today, you can have surgery on your gallbladder, knee, or wrist and be back at home within hours, without ever having checked into a hospital. Fifty years ago, you could expect to be in the hospital for days after delivering a baby. Now, you may be able to go home the same day. Crazy, isn’t it?
Discussion Question Format:
Be sure to answer all questions and the required word count is between 300-400 words or more and must contain at least 3 citations from 2 or more different resources. You may only use academic resources if you are using outside resources, not in the reading list. Always add a reference list.
Citation Reminders:
- You must use “quotes” if you copy five or more words exactly.
- You should not cite information that everyone knows.
- Try to paraphrase information.
- Even paraphrasing needs to be cited.
- To cite, the author’s last name and the year of publication for the source should appear in the text, for example, (Jones, 1998), and a complete reference should appear in the reference list at the end of the paper.
- Notice that the period goes at the end of the citation.
Discussion Question:
What is Ambulatory care? What type of services are patients treated for in ambulatory care? What setting are ambulatory care performed in? What is not a service of ambulatory care?
