Overview:
Design a
1-page professional development (PD) resource that could be used to train paraprofessionals on their role in supporting students during instruction
and collecting assessment data that informs educational planning. This resource should be accessible, practical, and grounded in research or evidence-based practice.
Your resource must include:
1. A brief overview of the
general responsibilities of paraprofessionals in inclusive classrooms
2. A clear description of how paraprofessionals can assist with
informal or formative assessment
· Examples: observational data, tally sheets, running records, behavior tracking, checklists
3. Guidance on how teachers and paraprofessionals can
collaborate to review and use collected data
· Include suggestions for brief check-ins, shared data logs, or weekly reviews
4. A sample
data collection tool or strategy
· Can be embedded visually or linked as an appendix
5. At least
two professional sources (IRIS Center, CEC, peer-reviewed article) in APA 7 format
