Introduction

What does a brand-new home need so that it won’t come crumbling down? A solid, unshakeable foundation.

The same is true when it comes to your life and career. To stand tall and sturdy in your personal and professional life, you need the right foundation for success. You need to understand your strengths and where you need extra support to climb high. That starts with developing your personal and social responsibility.

People acting with personal and social responsibility:

· Know their personal strengths and limitations.

· Make decisions with respect for diversity, equality, and inclusion.

· Value self-knowledge and continually seek to improve themselves.

Overview

In this assessment, you will reflect on the qualities, values, strengths, areas of improvement, and accomplishments that capture who you are and how they connect problem solving and the learning outcomes in the course to personal, academic, and professional goals. You will then practice your communication outcome by writing about what you have identified in ways appropriate for a CV or resume. You will use this information later in the Skill Development Plan assessment to create an action plan for developing talents that will help you reach your future goals. After completing this assessment, you will have a document you can bring to the Capella Career Center where counselors can help you further develop your career strategy.
