Due: Sunday, 11:59 p.m. EST of Unit 6.

Points: 100

Overview:

In this assignment, you will produce two documents: a project risk plan and the

Procurement Plan.

The Risk Management Plan is a document that a project manager prepares to foresee
risks, estimate impacts, and define responses to issues. It also contains a risk
assessment matrix. A risk is an uncertain event or condition that, if it occurs, has a
positive or negative effect on a project’s objectives. The Procurement Management Plan
is a part of the overall Project Management Plan. The document describes how items
will be procured during the project and the approach you will use in managing vendors
on the project. The student will learn how to identify risks and respond accordingly.

Instructions:

For both the risk management plan and procurement plan, you may use the template

posted in the unit or you can use your template as long as you obtain an approval from

your instructor.

Risk Management Plan Elements:

The purpose of risk management is to identify potential problems before they occur so

 Processes on how to identify risks.
 Processes on how to analyze identified risks.
 Evaluation of risks or ranking risks.
 Processes to respond to both negative and positive risks.
 Monitor and review the risks.

Procurement Management Plan Elements:

Project procurement management is the creation of relationships with outside vendors
and suppliers for goods and services needed to complete a project. This process is
