·
Create and submit a
PowerPoint Presentation (PPT) that summarizes the findings from your observations in
either Choice A or B and outlines the staffing, physical environment, and population served in either of your schools observed. In your PPT, make specific recommendations based upon Evidence-Based Practice and class readings to BOTH the Program Leadership and Educators on how they may improve the areas trending lowest in your collected and analyzed Process Quality Data. Be sure to note in your PPT, how increased knowledge of the use of this tool might apply to an early childhood practitioner’s work; specifically, how it may transform their teaching and application strategies with their students. Observations are to be completed and uploaded by the 3rd week of class. We will discuss the findings in the 5th week of class.
Choice A: Use the ECERS-3 Tool to score your own real-life ECE classroom for children between 2.6 to 5 years old. Before you collect data, be sure to share this letter and gain the signature of an administrator to upload with your assignment:
Administrator Letter
Choice B: Let’s pretend that all the videos in this assignment represent one early learning environment. View & score the Early Childhood classroom videos provided below, using the ECERS-3 Tool. Since you are viewing the body of videos as one school, you will reflect one set of scores.
Assume any absent information to be non-existent when scoring.

Regarding the ECERS-R scores given to the videos in Assignment I, please answer the following questions in your post for today and follow up within two days to at least 2 peers’ posts:
1. What were your 3 lowest scores given in Assignment I?
2. Why did you give those scores?
3. What advice would you give to Administrators to elevate future scores?
Your responses here will count towards participation grades.
Discussion Grading:
All discussions should follow netiquette guidelines. Discussion posts should be at least 200-250 words. The initial post should fully address all aspects of the prompt and pull from readings and videos (with at least one in-text citation) to show an understanding of the week’s content. You will also comment on 2 peers’ posts. The goal of commenting is to deepen and expand your thinking about a topic. Grading of discussions is contingent on following these guidelines.
