Module 4 Week 2

Rachael Wheelous

Good evening Class,

This course provoked reflections about my character and ethical principles as a leader. I aspire to embody honesty, integrity, and accountability while fostering an environment conducive to my colleagues’ success. I found the exploration of generational differences enlightening, providing tools for fostering cohesive and inclusive workplaces for people of all ages, backgrounds, and ethical/moral beliefs to thrive.  The course provided vital resources for analyzing difficult situations, making informed decisions, and solving challenges with integrity while helping me grow into the leader I strive to be.

Another conclusion is that AI is inevitable; technological advancement will occur and significantly impact wherever it is applied. All literature consistently emphasizes the ethical utilization of AI. Thus, establishing a moral framework for utilizing AI in my own professional and academic pursuits is essential. AI can offer numerous shortcuts for unethical users; nevertheless, I intend to utilize AI to explore knowledge and material further to facilitate additional deep learning, not to be a substitute for learning.  For academic purposes, I can use it when I have authorization and for its intended purpose to allow more time for research and exploring the ideas it presents.  AI offers invaluable resources for learning, but it must be used ethically to maintain academic integrity.

Module 4 Week 2

D’yani Florence

What I took away from this course was how ethical behavior is important to practice daily in business and school. Without utilizing ethical practices, reputations can be damaged, loyalty is lost, and accountability is not taken. When taking the measures to practice ethical behavior, it is beyond myself. When behaving unethically, I am affecting someone else in some way. I am taking away that even when something unethical occurs, if I see something, I will say something. If I am the one to make a mistake, I own up to it and have integrity first in order to be transparent and accountable for my actions.

In school and the workplace, the improvements I will make ethically are, synthesizing information more when conducting research and using better quality sources. I will choose scholarly articles and databases rather than random websites or blogs that may seem credible. Another improvement I will make is taking these learned ethical principles and applying them not only to my schoolwork but in my future career(s) as well.
