Although manu people don’t see that problem it is something that happens during trials. This could involve using a broader pool of potential jurors and employing random selection methods.
2. Judges’ Instructions: Providing more clear comprehensive instructions to jurors can help them better understand their role and what there job is to do at that time and the legal principles involved in the case. Providing visual aids could help with this also
3. Voir Dire Process: Strengthening the voir dire process can help identify potential biases among jurors. Allowing both the prosecution and defense to ask more specific and probing questions during jury selection can help ensure a fair and impartial jury.
4. Sequestration: In high-profile or sensitive cases, sequestering jurors can help minimize external influences and ensure their focus remains solely on the evidence presented in court. However, it is important to balance this measure with the potential impact on jurors’ personal lives.
5. Unanimous Verdicts: Reevaluating the requirement for unanimous verdicts could be considered. Allowing for majority verdicts, such as requiring agreement from 10 out of 12 jurors, could help prevent hung juries and expedite the trial process.
