Reflecting on a previously identified challenge related to change fatigue and ongoing organizational strain, a leadership model that is well suited to address current societal and organizational issues is transformational leadership. This approach emphasizes purpose, communication, and shared commitment, which are essential when organizations are navigating continuous change and uncertainty. Transformational leadership helps leaders connect daily work to broader goals while supporting employees through evolving expectations and demands (Bratton, 2023).
From an organizational perspective, this leadership model is effective in addressing disengagement, resistance to change, and declining trust. When leaders focus primarily on tasks or outcomes without sufficient attention to people, employees can feel disconnected from the rationale behind change. Effective leadership requires alignment between structure, people, and culture, particularly in complex environments where change is frequent and multifaceted (Bratton, 2023).
The leadership style that best represents me is closely aligned with transformational leadership, with a strong emphasis on consistency and sound judgment. In my experience, leadership is demonstrated through clear decision-making, thoughtful communication, and follow-through rather than positional authority. Creating stability and clarity for others during periods of change helps build trust and supports sustainable performance, especially in work environments that involve high workloads and evolving systems (Bratton, 2023).
Overall, transformational leadership reflects how I aim to lead by balancing adaptability with accountability. Leaders who are able to support people while maintaining direction are better positioned to respond to both societal pressures and internal organizational challenges in meaningful and lasting ways (Bratton, 2023).
