1. The ethical integrity of the judiciary is paramount to maintaining public trust in the legal system, particularly when it comes to the highest court in the United States. When justices are perceived to act outside the boundaries of ethical standards, the legitimacy of the entire institution is called into question. Recent revelations concerning Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas have raised significant ethical concerns that illustrate this dilemma. According to a detailed Forbes article, Justice Thomas failed to disclose numerous luxury trips and extravagant gifts provided by conservative billionaire Harlan Crow. These included private jet flights, extended stays on a superyacht, and a series of real estate transactions involving properties owned by Thomas and his family. Such omissions appear to contradict the reporting requirements laid out in the Ethics in Government Act, which mandates that federal officials disclose gifts of significant value. Further complicating this ethical conversation is the political activism of Justice Thomas’s wife, Ginni Thomas. Reports suggest she received undisclosed payments from conservative political operative Leonard Leo through a nonprofit organization, which later submitted amicus briefs in cases before the Court. The absence of transparency in these financial dealings, coupled with their intersection with cases that may appear before her husband, raises serious questions about conflicts of interest and impartiality. These controversies underscore the urgent need for a binding and enforceable code of ethics specifically tailored to the Supreme Court. Unlike judges in lower federal courts, Supreme Court justices are not bound by a formalized ethical code, nor is there an oversight body with the authority to investigate or sanction potential violations. This glaring institutional deficiency not only jeopardizes the Court’s credibility and independence, but also erodes public confidence in its decisions.

2. IIn most recent events, the Supreme Court has adopted a ethical to amend the claims that the justice system have violated laws and standards followed by the rest of the judiciary. Out of the high court has abided by the common law ethic rules in most recent years. This has been pushed to the bench to clarify any move understanding over the status on the court. The absence of the code, however, in recent years have led to misunderstanding that the justice system, all like all other jurors in this country, regard themselves as street lead by ethical rules that the court has broken. This tends to derive from standards used by other judges. The court said it’s a new code where it is adapted to the justices unique’s need. The code was written to allow just to see the rigble room on interpretations brought in some areas, and also to narrow down in others. The court expresses concern over the forcing that the justices to apply recreations, and they could also made to be derived from the courts work. Over the past years, the media reports of the justices potential law doing fewer criticism of the lack of epic’s code in April. Probuildica kicked off a barricade of coverage on high court’s epic when it’s reported on Justice Clarence Thomas gifts from a billionaire Republican, Omega dollar. The report described that Tommy’s relationship with Harlan Crowe detailed that dozens of private jet’s price and luxury vacations the Bush appointed a certain gifts. Crow’s gifts to Tommy’s were $100,000 which are far above 400 15 threshold for the guilt under federal disclosure laws The taste of real estate module are reportedly paid for Thomas Grant nephew’s private school education, as well as about the justice childhood home. Thomas mandated yearly financial reports did not include against described by pro public Thomas also did not let me himself to only close generosity. The Conservatives justice also reported the acceptance of private jet flights from the coach network in 2018 which attended to. different private groups conferences. He argued that those allegations were false so these codes are put into place because of the disclosure law and the different amounts of genorosity.

3. Convict criminology is a unique perspective because it involves former prisoners who have become academics and study the nature of crime and prisons that they have potentially been a part of. Individuals who have never been institutionalized willl not have the same ideas or perspectives as someone who has lived within the walls of a prison. Traditional criminology is usually researched by scholars, people who have no experience outside of their research or studies. Convict criminology also focuses on reform and the changing of policies and procedures based on their personal experiences. I think it would be extremely interesting to sit down with someone who has been in prison, served their time, and then decided to provide feedback on what needs to change or how their experience was while being locked up. Not only can these individuals provide positive critiques of the justice system, but they can also provide answers and ideas on how to make things better. How do feminist theories explain both female criminality and victimization?Feminist theories explain both female criminality and victimization by focusing on ideas that look into how gender inequality, patriarchy, and intersectionality play a role in criminal activity and the injustice placed on offenders based on race, gender, and social class. Feminist theories believe that women are more likely to engage in criminal activity because of trauma, abuse, poverty, or their inability to gain power. Most female offenders have been victimized through domestic abuse, sexual abuse, trafficking, or exploitation, which may have an impact on the paths they choose to take going forward. Feminist theories aim to understand crime and victimization through the lens of gender, patriarchy, and intersectionality, and also strive for more equality within the justice system.

4. Convict criminology derives its individuality from the basis of being developed by former or currently incarcerated convicted criminals. I believe it shows an interesting perspective due to how a convicted criminal can offer much more personal insights to flaws of our criminal justice system and perhaps offer insights to programs that work. By this unique perspective we as a whole are finally able to have a glimpse behind the curtain of how a prison or jail actually operates and the many challenges that come along with it. We are able to have a better understanding of the power imbalances that are always present, racial disparities and how it effects what is essentially a caste system, prison violence, and also what I would consider to be the most important topic of this theory which is the psychological effects of incarceration presents to the population of the prison or jail. Female criminality is tricky subject to broach. However it touches upon the vast chasm of gender influences and how this translates to crime involving women. A large percentage of crimes committed by women were thought to be influenced by these inequalities as it pertained to societal pressure, financial abuse, and also physical abuse. A lot of theorists argue though that when women commit crimes it is due to survival instincts and how they feel they must do these things to protect themselves. However by using this as an explanation it leaves a great divide that glosses over a lack of victim resources and therapies that should be available to use.Female criminality does acknowledge that women are more likely to commit a crime based off of a survival circumstance rather than for the gratification or personal satisfaction they would receive. It also states that men are more likely to be driven by deviant behavior just based off of their personality rather than women who are less likely to do so.
