PART 2- Module 1 – ASSIGNMENT
Sustainable Event Timeline
In this assignment, you will focus on the fundamental aspect of sustainable event planning – creating and managing an event timeline. The timeline is the backbone of the event planning process. To properly submit your timeline, follow the instructions below. As you progress through the project, consider the ways in which you will implement sustainability into your event.
Directions:
1. Pick an event and theme. Examples include: a wedding, conference, fundraiser, fashion show, etc. Choose an appropriate theme based on location, event type, or preference of the client.
2. Establish an effective strategic plan. Present this information in a textbox somewhere on your timeline, such as the top left-hand corner:
· Stakeholders
· Mission
· Values
· Objectives. At least one objective should address sustainable development.
3. Research and outline your event. Conduct research on your event. List important milestones and the software/technology you will need to plan your event.
4. Create the timeline. Your timeline should document all stages of the event planning process from initial conception to the execution of the event. Also, note anything that might take place after the event.
· Format it appropriately.
o Use Canva, Gimp, Gantt Chart, Figma, or a similar tool to complete your timeline.
o Ensure your timeline is coherent and professional, both visually and regarding content.

I.Managing risks. List three potential roadblocks or risks that could interrupt the event planning process. What is your plan to manage these risks should they occur? (One bullet per risk).
II.Plan event evaluation. Describe how you will evaluate the success of your event after it takes place. (Minimum 100 words.)
