SHEILA- UP TO 10/20/2024-

***** PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT ALL WORK IS AUTHENTIC- DO NOT USE AI IT WILL BE SCANNED*****

****** THIS ASSIGNMENT HAS 4 PARTS / PLEASE LABEL EACH PART SEPARATELY WITH REFERENCES WHEN COMPLETED******

PART 1- DISCUSSION 1- Employer & Personal Social Media Profile

Do you feel the employer has the right to discipline an employee based on content or posts on their personal social media profile, or would you consider this an invasion of privacy? Would you have disciplined the employee differently?

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS: Your initial post should be at least 200 words, formatted and cited in current APA style with support from at least 2 academic sources.

PART 2- Article Essay 1- Choose Your Own Article

In this assignment, I would like for one article “essay” be written without using any book or references other than the article you chose. I would like your essay to be written from your point of view and with no help from the book.

Find ONE article which you will write an essay on the article:

1.     The essay is a two-part essay, part one that supports your argument and part two that does not.  Remember this assignment is from the same article.

2.     The articles must relate to a workplace, change, and human resource.

3.     There is no right or wrong answer, this is based on your opinion and own knowledge.

4.     At the end of your essay on the reference page, when you site the article, in addition to the citation, you must also include a web link or URL so that I can access the article online.

5.     The article must be either a peer-reviewed/scholarly article or an article found in a journal/magazine that is a credible source, such as the Wall Street Journal or the New York Times.

6.     Wikipedia will not be accepted.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The essay is to be clear and concise, and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, misspelling, and incorrect APA format.
  • Your essay should be a minimum of 500 words in length, current APA format, excluding the title and references page.

PART 3- CASE STUDY 1- Ethical Dilemma

Module 1 Case Study 1: read Ethical Dilemma (BELOW) and address the questions below.

1.     What would you do? Explain in details.

2.     What would be the various performance criteria that you would establish?

3.     What would be the main feedback you would give this particular employee?

4.     How would you manage the performance of this employee? What would you different?

Ethical Dilemma: You are the new vice president for human resources of a company that has not been performing well, and everyone, including yourself, has a mandate to deliver results. The pressure has never been heavier. Shareholders are angry after 31 months of a tough market that has left their stock underwater. Many shareholders desperately need stock performance to pay for their retirement. Working for you is a 52 year-old manager with two kids in college. In previous evaluations, spineless executives told him he was doing fine, when he clearly was not, and his performance is still far below par. If you are to show others in the company that you are willing to make tough decisions, you feel you must fire this individual. The question is, who’s going to suffer: the firm and ultimately shareholders whose retirement is in jeopardy, or a nice guy who’s been lied to for 20 years, through no fault of his?

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

  • The essay is to be clear and concise, and students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation, misspelling, and incorrect APA format.
  • Your essay should be a minimum of 500 words in length, current APA format, excluding the title and references page.

PART 4- CASE STUDY 2- Nokia Booster Program

Module 1 Case Study 2: read Nokia Booster Program (ATTACHED) and address the items below.

1.     After you have read the case study, you have to use the second article “Requirements for successful Organizational Change” and apply it to the case study.

  • Your essay should be a minimum of 500 words in length, current APA format, excluding the title and references page.
