Reflective Essay

Your task is to reflect on what you have learned by writing 1000-word essay.  Your paper should be written as though you were submitting in a professional environment.  Because it is a personal reflection, the use of first-person is allowed.  Sign up for Grammarly Premium through the library and/or work with a writing advisor if you need help writing this essay. Please make sure you honestly assess your experience since there are not “right or wrong” answers to the prompts.  The value of the essay comes from your identification and understanding of the essential career skills you have gained.

To help you write this paper, please follow the outline below and address all of the topics described in the bullet points below:  

Reflection Paper Outline

RESORT INFORMATION:

Name: Oasis Resort – Symbolizing tranquility and exclusivity, the name represents a serene, oceanic escape. The logo features a stylized wave forming an infinity symbol, reflecting endless relaxation and sustainability.

Location: Maldives – A remote, breathtaking island location offering pristine beaches, turquoise waters, and vibrant marine ecosystems.

Style/ Target Market: – Luxury honeymooners and couples • High-income travelers seeking exclusivity • Eco-conscious tourists 3 • Corporate wellness retreat.

  

I. Introduction (1 paragraph).  Briefly inform the reader about your project by describing:  

o   The name, amenities, and location of the resort  

o   A brief overview of the resort.   

II. Resort Development (3-5 paragraphs).  Explain what you did in your developing your project.

III. Reflection (3 paragraphs).  Reflect upon this experience of developing your own resort

IV. Conclusion (1 paragraph).  Summarize the most important outcomes you will take away from this experience.  

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS:

·       The paper is to be written using clear and concise language.  Students will lose points for improper grammar, punctuation and misspelling.

·       Include a title page that includes your name, resort name and the date of submission

·       Using headings that match those in the outline in the instructions is an effective way to organize your essay.

·       Papers should be written in Microsoft Word, double-spaced, using 12-point Times New Roman font.

·       All margins should be set to 1″. 

·       Paragraphs should be left-justified with the first sentence of each paragraph indented by 0.5″.

·       The paper should be approximately 1000 words in length, excluding the title page.
