Specifics:

This assignment is worth 5% (over and above your course grade). The optional mark will be

manually added on once all marks from the course have been calculated at the end of the term.

The length of the paper should be at least 3 full pages, double-spaced. (Students are free to write

longer papers if they wish.)

Use a 12 pt font like Times New Roman or Courier.

Students will be marked on grammar and punctuation as well as content. (If citing/referencing is

required, then that will be marked as well.)

Canadian spelling is required. Marks will be lost if you use American spelling.

Make sure to include a title page (with your student name, number and title of your paper) and a

Reference List (if additional research has been undertaken.) The title page and the Reference List

are not included in the page count.

Follow APA formatting for the citations within the paper and the Reference List at the end.

The assignment will be handed in online (in pdf format) on Meskanas (Moodle).

Important Note: Given that this is an optional assignment (i.e., not part of the required course

grade), no papers will be accepted after 11:59 p.m. on November 8 th , 2025 for any reason.

Deadline date: Nov 8, 2025

Topic:

For this optional assignment, students can choose to write on any family-related topic that they

wish. There are only two stipulations: 1) Students can not choose to write on the same topic as

they did for their required assignment in this course;
