Assignment Instructions:
Write a
5–7 page paper (APA 7th edition formatting) in which you:
1.
Select a Case/Scenario:
· Choose either a real-life case (with identifying information removed for confidentiality) or create a composite case that illustrates the complex interplay of biological, psychological, social, spiritual, and cultural dimensions.
· Your case should highlight challenges to social functioning (e.g., poverty, discrimination, trauma, disability, or health disparities).

Apply Theoretical Frameworks:
· Identify two traditional theories (e.g., psychosocial theory, systems theory, ecological perspective) and one culturally grounded theory or paradigm (e.g., Africentric paradigm, feminist theory, liberation psychology) that help explain the individual’s or group’s behavior in their social environment.
· Compare how the different frameworks provide insights into the case.

Analyze Social and Economic Forces:
· Discuss how structural factors such as racism, sexism, classism, immigration status, economic inequality, or access to resources affects the individual or group’s social functioning.

Implications for Social Work Practice:
· Reflect on how your analysis informs culturally responsive and ethically grounded social work practice.
· Identify at least two specific practice strategies or interventions that would promote resilience, empowerment, or improved social functioning in your case.
