Assessing Subject Matter Content in the Curriculum

(CAEP Unit Assessment #13)

Directions:

Develop a power point presentation for teachers. The presentation will address three ways in which to assess subject matter content in a curriculum. You may choose the grade level. The presentation should last about 20 minutes. (ILA 3.3)

Post your presentation to the discussion board by the end of week 4 to receive input from your colleagues. By the end of week 5, respond to at least two of your colleagues’ presentation and collect their input for your presentation. (ILA 6.3)

Write a one-page paper describing your presentation. Include the rationale and the methods you are using and how you would accommodate diverse students to promote equity for all. Reflect upon the input you receive. Did you agree, and would you change anything in your presentation based upon that feedback?

Post final presentation and your paper to the assignment drop box by the end of week 6.
