Instructions
After reading Groff’s article, you will design a digital learning environment that reflects one of the three models discussed: evolving, transforming, or reinventing. Your design should demonstrate thoughtful integration of technology aligned with sound pedagogical practices and instructional design principles.
Designing Your Proposal
Your proposal for your digital learning environment should have the following elements:
1) A summary of the three models of technology integration (evolving, transforming, reinventing; minimum 2 – 3 paragraphs).
2) Reflection on the model you chose and why (minimum 2 paragraphs).
3) Discuss instructional design principles (e.g., learner-centered, collaborative, inquiry-based, personalized), which will include (minimum 2 paragraphs):
a. Learning goals and outcomes (minimum 2 learning goals).
b. Discuss pedagogical strategies (i.e., explicit instruction) and assessment methods (formative and summative) that you will use to teach and assess learning.
4) Choose first-order or second-order innovations from the article, and add a description of technologies used
5) Discuss supports for engagement and learning for diverse learners (minimum 1 paragraph).
6) Give a visual drawing of what your classroom or virtual layout will look like (you can use Canva or another creative platform to do this draw if you do not want to do it by hand.)
The minimum paragraphs are a recommendation for those who are writing this in a paper format. You are welcome to be creative in this project! If you chose to do powerpoint/Canva/Prezi or any other format, please include sufficient detail into what your digital learning environment would look like! Ensure you are hitting the requirements above :).

PowerPoint Presentation: The Influence of Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drugs on K-12 Students’ Life and Learning
In this assignment, you will work individually to create a
PowerPoint presentation with a minimum of 10 slides that explores the impact of tobacco, alcohol, and drugs on K-12 students. Your presentation should focus on how substance use affects
academic performance,
mental and physical health, and
social behavior in students. Additionally, you will propose
strategies that schools can implement to help prevent and address substance use issues. The goal of this project is to raise awareness and provide practical solutions to reduce the influence of substance use on K-12 students.
