Social Media and Performance
– For my research topic, I would like to examine the relationship between athletes and their perceptions of other athletes on social media. I believe that social media will negatively impact athletes due to constant comparison. This comparison can occur either consciously, or subconsciously, and can result in athletes deeming themselves as unworthy or “behind” compared to other athletes showcasing their positive experiences on social media.
