Reflecting upon appreciative inquiry (AI) and appreciative living (AL) helps individuals develop self-awareness, find the best in others, and maintain a positive organizational culture. Such reflections can inspire others to change, shift automatic thinking, and eliminate negative bias.
In this assignment, you will analyze appreciative inquiry (AI) and appreciative living (AL) for self-awareness and create a 3- to 4-minute audiovisual presentation for colleagues.
Step 1
Review the module readings, presentations, and discussion. Then, use the

· Review Kelm’s five emergent principles.
· Research the effect of Kelm’s emergent principles on leaders through the lens of AI and AL as they relate to reflective leadership practice.
Step 2
Organize your research by preparing what you will share in your presentation. Include:
· how Kelm’s five emergent principles of AI help individuals reflect on their leadership practice
· how the principles affect decisions as leaders
Consider your audience, purpose, and tone when crafting your message. A best practice is to compose a script or talking points to use while recording the narration. You are not required to submit these speaking notes; they are just helpful for you to prepare for your presentation.
Step 3
Select a digital tool to create your narrated presentation with supporting slides or other visuals. See potential presentation tools in the
Digital Tools Center.
Create slides or other visuals to present your information. Apply the tips from the “Writing Creative Presentation Scripts” video at the bottom of these directions.
Apply APA formats for in-text citations. Include a reference slide with APA-formatted entries at the end of your presentation.
Practice your presentation. Ensure it fits within the timeframe and includes all required information. Then, record it.
