Major Research Writing Assignment:  Research paper based on one of the ten topics listed below. (Worth up to 300 points) (Due at the end of Module 7 (see due date in the course schedule below).

 Students will complete a literature review on one of the ten topics related to the Psychology of Women
. Students will choose one of the following topics for this writing assignment.

 
Topics: Women’s experiences with body image and self-esteem

· Once you choose your topic, you will complete a literature review paper on it. You choose five peer-reviewed and scholarly articles (published within the last five years) from the Troy Library related to the topic you chose. You are to write a review and analysis of the five articles. You will then write up your analysis of the topic based on the five articles and the topic that you chose. You will complete a reference page in APA style.

· A required template is available for this assignment (under Module 7)

· A rubric for Writing Assignment #1 is located under Module 7. This rubric provides you with grading expectations/assessment criteria.

 Use the APA Publication Manual (7th ed.) to format your paper.

·
Title page, at least 7-page (minimum) body of your paper, and a reference list in APA format, 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and one-inch margins on each side.

·
Include in-text citations for your sources based on the APA Publication Manual (7th Ed) and a separate APA style references page in the APA Publication Manual (7th Ed).

·
You must cite and review five peer-reviewed scholarly resources (use the Troy Library to find your resources). You can utilize more than five resources if you choose (e.g., a textbook). No website resources may be used. Make sure that each reference is cited in your text.

Conversely, each citation in your text must have a corresponding reference.

·
Your submitted paper will consist of the title page, a minimum of 7 pages for the body of your paper (including an introductory paragraph and closing summary paragraph), and a references page.

·
Adhere to the College of Education’s plagiarism guidelines in this syllabus.

·
Upload this assignment to the designated Canvas dropbox by the due date identified in your course schedule (Under Module 7).
