This assignment will be submitted at the 
END of 
WEEK SEVEN (7).

Assignment: CHFD 331 Week 1 to 7 Reflection Journal (
Submit only at the end of Week 7)!

Objective: To reflect upon weekly learning relating to influences on parenting, methods that will assist with parents feeling connected with their child/children.  Identify parenting techniques for each stage of development, parenting challenges, theories of childhood growth and development, and other learnings as appropriate. Share some advice and strategies from what you have learned that will help decrease the stress of parenting. 

Assignment Format: This Journal is a Personal Reflection.  This is the ONLY assignment that does not require APA formatting. Grammar and writing skills are still important.

This assignment will be submitted using a “WORD” document.  Please upload this assignment as a single word document.

Yes, you will submit at the end of Week seven (7), you are encouraged to reflect 
each week throughout the course. This assignment should be started at the beginning of the course and uploaded for submission at the end of Week 7. 
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL WEEK 7, TO WORK ON THIS ASSIGNMENT. 

Assignment:

1. Week 1 to Week 7, reflect upon and write about 2 topics each week: (
100 words maximum for each week)

· Something new you learned and why it was important.

· Something that piqued your interest and why.

· 100-word maximum.

Underline or number your topics to make your content clear.

Week 7, reflect upon and write a summary about: (150 words maximum)

· What you liked during the class and why.

· What you did not like during the class and why.

 Points to guide your journal:

· See the example of the journal below.

· Completing the journal weekly will be easier and more conducive to your learning.

· Your journal can be on one major topic or include individual facts or a combination.

· Your journal can include new learning or refreshed learning.

· The information can come from your readings or the forums.

· It is important to reflect on and write about why this information was important to you.

· Use MS Word format only. Other formatting will not be graded.

 
 Example:

Week 1 (100 words)

First topic:

1. In our reading this week I was reminded about the topic (outline your learning about the topic).

2. I have not thought about this topic for a long time because ….

3. The reason it piqued my interest was (the reason why it was important).

Second topic:

1. The other area that I found interesting was the topic (outline the learning about the topic.)

From week 2 to week 7 continue adding to your journal about your two important weekly learnings.
