To complete the chapter/module written assignment, choose only one from the eight available chapters/modules. Then, write an essay on the chapter/module you select. To write the essay, follow the instructions in the “Guidelines for writing ALL the course’s written assignments” section below and in the “Written Assignment” folder in the modules. Within each module, there is a “Written Assignment” folder. In those folders is information for completing the analytical component of the essay assignment. Each module will have different instructions, so ensure you read those instructions carefully. You must follow those instructions to complete the assignment correctly. Video material is an excellent resource for completing your written assignments. I expect you to use them. Links to online materials (e.g., websites and YouTube videos) are available within the modules. Should you encounter a link that is no longer active or have difficulty finding any of the materials, notify your instructor as soon as possible. Academic Article Written Assignment. You must choose only one from the four academic articles on paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs and submit one essay for grading. Write one essay of between 900 and 1000 words in your selected article. Four academic articles on topics relating to globalization are available on paskwâwi-mostos mêskanâs in the “Academic Articles” folder. This assignment allows students to demonstrate their ability to comprehend and critically engage with a published academic article. This essay must follow the format described in the “Guidelines for writing ALL the course’s written assignments” section in this course outline. Here are some ideas for preparing your analytical component: Discuss the themes/concepts in the article using some of the ideas and discussions found in the textbook chapters or modules. Use the optional video material to elaborate on the themes/concepts in the article. Raise questions about a reading. For example, question the author’s assumptions or examine how or whether their ideas help us better understand globalization. Do not just assert your opinion. Use the concepts/ideas found in other course material to support your analysis
