Have you engaged in reflection assignments or essays for classes or work before? If so, what did you do with the reflection, and how did it work? Have you engaged in informal reflection outside of school or work?
For this discussion activity, write a 200-250 word paragraph that reflects on your own writing process. What do you like about writing? What bothers you about writing? How might ENGL 102 change your typical approach to writing, or will it remain the same after this course?
If you finish your first draft and you are very short of the 200 word minimum, ask ChatGPT or another GenAI tool what you could do to expand your first draft? If you have far exceeded your 250 max, ask a GenAI tool what you could do to shorten your response?
Include in your response whether engaging with GenAI helped you with your discussion process or hindered it. Or maybe a bit of both?
After you have posted your discussion activity, please reply to three of your classmates’ activities. Be courteous, polite, and generous in your responses.
