Gendered Life Interview Analysis: Using the transcript you submitted for the Transcript assignment, provide an analysis of the material in the interview in which you connect your person’s experiences to the material covered in class. This is a reflective essay, not a research assignment, so you do not need to do research outside the course. Your essay should be 2000 to 2500 words. The word count includes any quotations from the interviews that you want to use but does not include the title page. We are interested in quality, not quantity, so please do not pad your essay just for the sake of adding extra words (if you find that your reflections exceed 2500 words, that’s fine – just don’t go too far overboard and write an entire book!). Please do not download a random essay about gender from a course paper mill or generate one from a chatbot or artificial intelligence source. Your essay must be well-grounded in the specific material from your interview and the specific material covered in this course, and it should be written by you. If it is not written by you, it falls under the university’s definition of plagiarism, which is an academic offense. You will submit your essay through the Gendered Life Analysis portal in the Assignments section of Canvas any time before one week after the last day of class (to be precise, 23h59 on December 12). If you submit an essay and then you decide to withdraw it and re-do it, you can do so, as long as the resubmission is in the portal by the deadline.
