Case Study Title: “TalentTech at TranzGlobal Inc.: Reshaping HR Strategy through AI”
Background:
TranzGlobal Inc., a multinational logistics and supply chain firm headquartered in Singapore, operates across 27 countries with over 40,000 employees. Amid growing labor shortages and high turnover in certain regions, TranzGlobal’s CHRO launched an ambitious AI-integrated transformation strategy to revamp recruitment and performance management.
The strategy involved implementing two key tools:
- HireMind AI – a cloud-based recruitment platform using machine learning to screen, assess, and recommend candidates based on job fit, emotional intelligence, and predicted long-term retention.
- PerformSync – an AI-powered performance tracking system leveraging real-time data, 360-degree feedback analysis, and predictive modeling to identify top talent, training needs, and potential flight risks.
Six months into the rollout:
- Hiring time dropped by 35%.
- Diversity hiring improved in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
- Managers in Germany raised concerns over AI-generated performance alerts, calling them “invasive” and “biased.”
- Some employees in the U.S. and Canada felt the system reduced human interaction and failed to account for contextual factors in performance evaluation.
- In Nigeria, performance metrics flagged key local managers despite cultural leadership styles differing from algorithmic expectations.
TranzGlobal’s executive team is now revisiting the rollout, particularly its strategic impact across cultural contexts, ethical concerns, and long-term HR capabilities.
Questions:
1) How can TranzGlobal ensure its AI-driven HR strategy aligns with local cultural and regulatory expectations while maintaining global consistency?
2) To what extent can AI support ethical decision-making in recruitment and performance management? What ethical frameworks should be used to guide implementation?
3) How should TranzGlobal’s leadership handle internal resistance to AI in performance tracking, particularly in high-autonomy cultures?
Tip for Writing: Use complete, grammatically correct sentences. Try using the MEAL format to structure your responses. Start with a clear Main idea, support it with Evidence (like readings, data, or examples), add your Analysis to explain its importance, and finish with a Closing sentence that ties it together. This will help keep your posts organized and impactful.
Important Formatting Requirements:
Your responses should be in essay format using paragraphs. Do NOT use bullet points, numbered lists, or bold text. Use only quality academic, peer-reviewed sources (preferably from CIU’s LIRN centre). Do NOT use websites, especially anything with “pedia” in the name. If your response is not in essay format, or it contains bullet points, numbered lists, or bold text, you will be ineligible for any points.

For this exercise, you will write a paper comparing two companies from the list of 100 Best Companies to Work For and report on the criteria used to rank the overall performance of these two companies.
Step 1: After selecting and exploring two companies, compare the criteria used to rank these companies. Which criteria impacted the ranking of each company? How effective were these criteria in ranking each company? Does the ranking reflect a realistic industry and customer perception of each company? Why or why not?
Step 2: Find additional resources on the company (news articles, blogs, reports, and so on), and explain whether you would want to work for that company, stating clear reasons.
Step 3: Using the APA essay template available available in the Supplementary Resources section of your course, combine your findings in Steps 1, 2, and 3 in a 3-4 page paper (not including the cover page and reference page). Your paper must follow the APA citation and referencing guidelines.
Assignment Requirements:
· APA formatted 3–5 page assignment (1000–1500 words).
· At least three scholarly sources (peer-reviewed journal articles) with a minimum of five in-text citations. Use CIU’s Online Library LIRN for sources.
