Read lecture transcript and respond to assignment
Each weekly APD is a narrative, generally composed of several thoughtful, thorough paragraphs per section based on your knowledge, skills, and disposition and where you provide clear evidence that you viewed the entire lecture ~ in other words, have been fully engaged as a distance learner.
The APD is generally 2 to 3 pages in length (single spaced, 12 point font) where you specifically address the prompts in each of the three sections (Knowledge, Skills, Disposition).
KnowledgeFrom our lecture this week, what did you learn about Special Education as a set of services for students who have Learning Disabilities AND ADHD? Make sure to include in your response some of the concerns (past and present) with the process of assessing for a suspected learning disability. Cite specific examples in your response.
Skills What are some of the specific strategies presented in the lecture that help in meeting the needs of students with a SLD AND ADHD? How might the knowledge gleaned from our lecture directly impact what you do in your work as an educator with students who have Learning Disabilities or ADHD?
Dispositions How does the lecture this week influence your perspective as an educator who will be working with a diverse population of students, including those who have Learning Disabilities or ADHD?
